We know that it's the second time we've spoken about minimalist bags this season... but we just can't wait for this trend to kick off next season. Don't get me wrong we've loved all things neon, pastel and bright this season but NOTHING beats a classic, leather bag in a cool neutral shade that will last FOREVER!

SO SOLID... CANDY COLOUR BLOCKING!

Ooooh who loves sweets and sherbet and all that other stuff? I do!! So when we decided to shoot our candy colour blocking collection I was high on sartorial E numbers!! With this collection anything goes, soooo you wanna pair a pale blue 50's skirt with a bright yellow tie blouse? Go for it girl! You wanna smoosh together a coral top with bright yellow silk shorts? Who cares??! We certainly don't! The clashier the better as far as we're concerned! But for those not down for the outlandish colour pop party why not mute the bright tone a little with some colour safe complimentary threads like a nice navy or cream top?

MONOCHROME MADNESS!

Who says black and white has to be bland and uninspiring? Rocking the monochrome look this Spring/Summer has never been so hot...just ask KimYe (no further comment!). Pairing ethereal white with jet black is both chic and effortless and probably one of my fave colour combos! Although ladies don't think you have to play it safe with the solid blocking option, why not play around with prints? Even better for the bold print shy!

MONOCHROME MAGIC & SOLID COLOUR BLOCKING AT THE BELT CRAFT STUDIOS

Hey readers! Another weekend gone by which can only mean one thing at DollsMaison, another Spring/Summer shoot wrapped up in a nice neat little bow! This weekend we returned to the incredible Belt Craft Studios in North London... the distressed walls and solid hardwood floors were the perfect backdrop to this shoot where monochrome and solid colour blocking was the main theme for the day! Oh and we couldn't resist chucking in some graphic prints for good measure! you know... as you do.

Special thank you to the team involved on the day, firstly the photographers; the suave and sophisticated Mr. Eric Mouroux, student Nadine Mahon and Martin Nenov; The amazing make up artists; the forever chipper Carla Eve, Zoe Gale and Michaela Sargeant; Hair stylist extraordinaire Shirley Mingle and last but not least the gorge models, Nicola, Rosie, Lucy S, Lucy W and our very own Claire H (look out for her video edit of the shoot coming soon!)

Red alert, red alert it's AW12's hot new colour!

Yep, we know its a bit early, seeing as we're still patiently waiting for Summer to arrive but it's always good to be ahead of the game! This shade looks crazy teamed with Khaki and neutral for Summer and then you can whip out the leather for winter!

Is it bad that we are SO over Summer now, and looking forward to Autumn's embellishment, winter prints and leather? Naaah we didn't think so either!
