FASHION FORECAST AUTUMN/WINTER 2012: LADIES IN LEATHER

It's official: leather is HOT right now. All our fave top-name designers, including Chanel, Gucci and Valentino (some day I will be able to afford you!) have been splashing leather all over the catwalk in Autumn/Winter shows. And thank JESUS for that, seeing as our shoddy summer is becoming an even shoddier Autumn quicker than you can say "bbrrrrrr". The ultimate badass style staple fabric is big news this season - everything from the classic jacket to the unforgiving trousers to the statement cape (yes, seriously!) is black, shiny and oozing attitude.

If you wanna be one step ahead of the high street, snap up some of these Autumn must-haves available RIGHT NOW on ASOS Marketplace and Ebay.

Check out our full collection of leather items right here, and have a peek back at our store as the winter months progress, we'll have far more treats to tickle your fancy!

DEMURE DRESS DROP!

In a world filled with bum skimming hot pants and hoochy mama crop tops, sometimes we like to let out our inner K Middleton and wear something with a hemline our mums would approve of. It goes without saying, we are SO in love with our latest stock drop of demure midi-dresses (available RIGHT NOW).

Tum and bum skimming, our new dresses don't show how many sweet treats we enjoyed this summer at all those Jubilee and Olympic celebrations. Nothing makes us feel quite as sophisticated as a midi-length dress - less fussy than a maxi dress but classier than a teeny mini dress. So pick up your cutest handbag, slip on some court shoes and go out for a lunchtime cream tea in one of these little numbers.

BEST OF THE FESTS: CELEBRITY FESTIVAL STYLE

It's very nearly the end of our favourite season: FESTIVAL SEASON! Don't fret though - we've still got Reading, Bestival and a few other festivities to go.
We've rounded up the best of the fest outfits from our top music loving celebs. Be inspired and enjoy the rest of the festivities before we pack up our flower garlands and Hunters for the winter. If you love these celebs' looks, steal their style right now!

Caroline Flack at V Festival
Love her or hate her, you have to award Caroline Flack some major fashion points here. Ahead of trend and sporting oh-so-chic military khaki green, Ms F looks like a total festival fashionista. Those platform wedges aren't so festi-friendly but look at those legs!

Make like C-Flack and invest in a statement military piece. Trust us, you'll be wearing it TO DEATH next season! Blouse and dress available now!

Tulisa at V Festival
Little T looked every inch the bad gyal last weekend at V in graffiti print high-waisted trousers and a cut polka-dot cropped top. We have major love for print-clashery so a big thumbs up for our favourite fashionista from the hood.
Check out our take on polka dot/graphic print clashing. We think our favourite N-Dubber would be proud of our print-pairing skills. Spotty blouse and floral trousers in stock now!

Pixie Lott at Cornbury
Pixie’s multi-coloured graphic print sheer number does the talking in this classic casual but cute blouse. She tops it all off with everyone’s fave festival staple; vintage denim Levi’s.

Copy Pixie's easy going blouse and shorts combo, DollsMaison style. High waisted denim Levi's,  stunning mosaic print blouse and cute fitted multi-coloured blouse.

Dita Von Teese at Cochella
Trust our absolute number one vintage chick, Dita Von Teese, to steal the show at Cochella. In a waist-cinching printed playsuit, round sunglasses and platform heels, Deets literally looks like she's walked straight out of the 1950's.
Keep cool but covered like Dita in one of our beautiful jumpsuits. These lemon yellow and ditzy floral print rompers are up for grabs now.

IT’S PLAYTIME: OUR TOP 3 PLAYSUITS!

Jumpsuits, romper, all-in-one… whatever you want to call it, the playsuit (that’s the one with the shorts) is a long standing summer staple that will never go away! With my excitement at the UK’s largest street party, the Notting Hill Carnival fast approaching my mind wonders to what to wear…(as per usual!). So, I’m having a conversation with my friend about the possible outfit combos with not much joy… jeans? Naaaah to boring you never know who you’re going to meet! How about a skirt? Goodness no!!! I can envisage way too many scenarios where wearing a skirt could go horrifyingly wrong!! Maxi dress? No way! it’ll have no hemline by the end of it!! After dismissing most of the options thrown at me she looked at me with great glee and said, how about a playsuit? YESSSSS! Perfect!!

*sidebar… I must state here that I usually go to a friends apartment in Westbourne Grove and hang off of their balcony overlooking the carnival route, which in my opinion is THE best way to enjoy the carnival! Close enough to get involved with the festivities but also in close proximity to a bathroom I don’t need to take out a small mortgage on to use!

The playsuit is such a cute alternative to a dress and can be dressed down for the day and spruced up for the evening, preserves your modesty in case of any ummm slip ups and is SUPER comfy! Not to mention if the weather turns you can just chuck on some tights and you’re good to go! Why didn’t I think of that?!

In keeping with the festival spirit I’ve rounded up 3 of our top playsuit picks, now all you need to do is go out to play!

THE POST OLYMPIC BLUES

I'm not going to lie to you guys! With the Olympics done and dusted for another 4 years I'm feeling a little bit blue (and it does NOT help that it's a Monday too!), yeah those horrendous Olympic lanes and the threat of receiving a huge fine for making a wrong turn has gone, but then so has the team spirit and comradery we've been witnessing over the past 2 and a bit weeks, London will never feel the same again but at least we have those glorious golden memories left of what turned out to be a truly amazing spectacle (the closing ceremony wasn't half bad either...Err David Gandy anyone?!)!

So in keeping with my mood I've pulled out a few of my fave blue hues for you! All is not lost though, blue just so happens to be one of my favourite colours! Royal, navy, turquoise I'm down for it all! But don't feel that you have to look like a Blue Man Group reject to rock this look, accents work just as well!

All pieces will be available in our ASOS Boutique over the next couple of weeks...now there's something to jump about! ...Until the Olympics hits Rio in 2016 which is going to be one massive 2 week carnival! I'm booking my plane ticket NOW!!

*Sidebar: Wishful thinking...

GOING FOR GOLD: ADD A LITTLE SUNSHINE IN YOUR LIFE!

I think last night was one of the best moments in GB Athletics history that I can remember! I'm still high off the adrenaline at witnessing our boy Mo Farah glide to an emphatic 5000m victory just ONE WEEK after clinching the 10,000m gold medal! Jeeeeez I can barely run for a bus!! Ummmm correction... I can not run for a bus!! All eyes we're on London town and on one man Mo Mo!! Such a proud moment!

In honour of Mo Farah and our other Olympic gold medalists I've picked out some of my fave sunshine gold bits for you, all available in our ASOS Boutique over the next couple of weeks!! If you don't want to run the risk of looking like a half peeled banana why not go for gold accents, not so out there but just as hot!

With the London Olympics coming to an end I feel at a loss, no more athletics, no more swimmers, no. more. dancing. horses!!!! What will we do to fill the time?! Some will be looking forward to the Paralympics, others will be getting involved in various sports initiatives across the country, me?  I'm gearing up for the start of this years X-Factor next week Saturday YAY!! Go team GB!!!!...ummm Gary Barlow...

*sidebar.....this is probably the reason I can't run for a bus! Note to self, get down to a gym pronto!

CARIBBEAN COOL: YOUR SUMMER WARDROBE

With temperatures climbing and the world still reeling from the thrilling Men’s 200m finals on Thursday evening, not to mention  the Men's relay team absolutely obliterating the 4 x 100m world record this evening, I can’t help but imagine what it would be like to be in Jamaica right now! The jubilation at killin' it during the London Olympic Games, spearheaded by The Man, The Legend, The Bolt! The all night street parties, the constant sunshine and the beaches… ohhh the beaches! I. wish. I. was. there!!!

So, in my mind what’s the next best thing? Kicking back in my garden with a can of Lilt in one hand and my Ipod in the other listening to a little bit of this…a little bit of that, some Reggae fusion is definitely thrown into the mix but mostly anything that makes me feel like I’m on the gorgeous Isle right now! Not quite the same but ah well what can ya do?!

With that (as you would expect) my thoughts turned to, what would I wear?! I’ve picked out some of my fave bits from our new collection that would definitely be finding their way into my imaginary suitcase! One can dream!

All pieces will become available in our ASOS Boutique throughout the next 2 weeks!
